I went to the Bath WI for the first time yesterday evening and really enjoyed it. We had a drawing session with a small company named Walk and Draw Bath. It was a beautiful evening so we naturally made the most out of the lovely weather and beautiful surroundings. The WI is held in a church hall, so I chose an intricate window to draw. I love fine detail and became very involved with the patterns, colours and interesting shapes. I haven’t drawn very much since my nightmare experience at Art College, so it was great to get back into it. It’s definitely something I would do again and was really nice to meet some new people. You can see me in the floral dress and red cardigan.

I bought some Bonne Maman Confiture de Caramel last week and was very keen to experiment. It is so delicious and I imagine I’ll use it a lot more adventurously next time. I made some simple golden syrup biscuits and drizzled over the caramel when cooled. Overall they were a success and I’ll definitely be making again.
